The current release of DREAM.3D (Version v4.0.638) is now available. It includes many improvements in all areas of memory use, execution speed and added capabilities. If you have any questions or issues with this release please email the DREAM.3D dev team at dream3d@bluequartz.net. This version is still under active development and you may experience crashes. If you do experience a crash please email us at dream3d@bluequartz.net or fill out the feedback form.
With that said there are lots of new features and a few new filters that have been added to DREAM3D that will hopefully streamline your workflows. In particular the surface meshing codes have been reorganized to create a better flow of data, a Laplacian smoothing filter has been added to the Surface Meshing filters, a few more IO filters have been added to convert the Surface Mesh data into Vtk and STL Files, filter documentation has been corrected and updated, error and warning messages have better explanations and lots and lots of bug fixes since the last release.
DREAM3D now contains over 115 filters ranging from reconstruction of EBSD data, to statistics, to synthetic microstructure creation to surface meshing.

Example Data
The "Small IN100" data set is available to download and use with DREAM.3D. This data set consists of 117 slices of EBSD data acquired using a dual beam FIB located at Air Force Research Laboratory, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. A file containing appropriate presets to use for the Reconstruction Plugin is also included in the data set. The compressed file size is 57MB and can be download here.

The last release of DREAM.3D (Version v3.3082) is still available although due to the shear number of critical bugs that were fixed in version 4 you should NOT be using this version. We are leaving it here for historical sakes in case someone really needs to download it again.
